The meeting of the Project Governing Board (PGB) was held on Tuesday 13th February 2007 at Grand Bassam.

The meeting was chaired by Professor Babatunde Osotimehin and started at about 2:30 pm with the adoption of the agenda of the meeting. The agenda of the meeting includes:
 Approve the Plan to Strengthen the Executive Secretariat in Perspective of the Global Fund
 Take Decision on Project Equipments
 Take Decision on Current Contracts
 Take Decision on Status of the Project Staff after July 31st, 2007
 Take Decision on the Use of Information Units

The Chairman informed all present that the purpose of the meeting was to consider important mile stones in the closure of the World bank funded project and to position the secretariat for the global fund. Continuing he stresses that since the IDA funded project is coming to an end, a new opportunity for continuity and sustainability is provided by the Global Fund. In particular, the meeting was to provide an important opportunity to evaluate the level of realization of the resolutions reached during the meeting in Accra.
